With over 20 years in project and portfolio management in the public sector across multiple continents, Kashif Siraj has successfully led and managed a wide range of projects and portfolios, demonstrating a keen understanding of public sector dynamics and the ability to navigate through various cultural and regulatory landscapes. This expertise spans across continents, including North America, Europe and Asia providing him with a global perspective and a deep understanding of project management practices and nuances required to be successful in different environments.

Kashif is well-versed in different project management methodologies and frameworks, including PMBOK, PRINCE2, and Agile, allowing him to adapt and tailor approaches based on organizational context and needs. Furthermore, Kashif is highly skilled in risk management and problem-solving with a passion for change management, which has been instrumental in overcoming challenges and ensuring successful outcomes in diverse contexts. 

He is a firm believer in the power of inclusive leadership and is always striving to empower individuals at all levels of the organization to foster self-sustaining growth. His leadership philosophy is, the greater your network the greater your leadership. With strong leadership skills, and fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels, his excellent communication and negotiation skills have enabled him to develop much-needed consensus to deliver complex initiatives around the globe.

Kashif holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,  a Master's in Data Communications, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is currently working as a Portfolio Manager for Niagara Region's IT department, providing strategy, leadership and direction for IT Portfolio and Client Relationship Management. He has led teams of Senior Business Analysts and Project Managers for over a decade for Niagara's government and is intimately aware of how these professions come together to create value for the residents. Prior to this role, Kashif worked for McMaster University as a Project Manager establishing the infrastructure for CLSA (Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging) setup at McMaster Innovation Park. He was responsible for the construction, procurement and commissioning of all the labs across Canada for this study. It is a project that is closer to his heart as this was not only a significant project but also his first here in Canada, something that many of you can relate to.

He is not only very open to sharing his experiences and knowledge but actively seeks opportunities to help his community through mentorship for new Canadians and general career counselling for professionals.
